Actress Funke Akindele and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello (known as JJC Skillz), have been brought before a Chief Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos state by the Lagos State Police command.
They are facing charges for violating the Lagos Infection Diseases Regulations 2020, which stipulate a maximum penalty of one month in jail or a fine of N100,000, or both, for individuals found guilty of hosting gatherings or disregarding the lockdown order.
The couple was apprehended for organizing a birthday party at their residence in Amen estate on Saturday, April 5th, despite the state’s restrictions on movement and social distancing regulations.
