Alex Iwobi Climbs to Fourth Place on Nigeria’s Most Capped Players List in the EPL

In the history of the Premier League, Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has now surpassed John Mikel Obi to claim the fourth position on the list of highest-capped Nigerian players.

Prior to this achievement, Iwobi was tied with former Chelsea midfielder Mikel, each boasting 249 appearances.

The 27-year-old reached his milestone of 250 Premier League appearances during Fulham’s recent 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage last Saturday.

In the game, Iwobi played the full 90 minutes, showcasing his consistency and dedication.

Iwobi’s next target is to surpass Yakubu Aiyegbeni, who currently holds the third position with 252 appearances.

Shola Ameobi, a former Newcastle United forward, leads the chart with 298 appearances, followed by Nwankwo Kanu in the second position with 273.
