Akon, the American-born Senegalese singer, has completed an agreement for the creation of Akon City in Senegal, his home country.
The 46-year-old artist shared the news on his social media platforms alongside a photo capturing the moment the deal was finalized. He conveyed in his caption: ‘Just finalized the agreement for AKON CITY in Senegal. Looking forward to hosting you there in the future.’
This development comes after Akon’s earlier revelation about his endeavor to establish his own city, which is scheduled to be finished in a decade. As stated by the singer, he plans to utilize his cryptocurrency, ‘AKoin,’ for the city’s economic development, and the entire city will be equipped with its own airport for convenient transportation.
