Adamawa Government Pledges to Tackle Water Shortage


The Adamawa State government has pledged to address the enduring water scarcity in Yola, the state capital.

During a civic reception in Yola, the Secretary to State Government, Alhaji Auwal Tukur, reaffirmed this commitment. The reception was held in honor of Malam Mohammed Bello, the former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Dr Edga Amos, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Yola.

Tukur stressed that water is a crucial necessity for life and the government has implemented proactive measures to improve water supply to the Yola metropolis.

He emphasized that the Fintiri administration prioritizes programs that facilitate human and social development for the sustainable growth of the state.

Tukur extended his congratulations to the minister for his dedicated service to the state and the country.

Malam Ibrahim Waziri, the chairman of the organizing committee, also commended the celebrants for their successful discharge of duties.

Waziri also praised the Sanda Primary School Old Boys Association for organizing the event and characterized the former minister as loyal, selfless, and accountable.

 

“The remarkable achievements of the celebrants serve as an inspiration for other administrators,” Waziri remarked.

 

Bello expressed his gratitude to the Yola community for their support and prayers, which contributed to his successful performance of duties.

 

He urged public office holders to diligently fulfill their responsibilities according to the governing rules for the state’s development. (NAN)
