Activists hang the photo of Prince Andrew leaving in the car after his arrest in the Louvre

Activists from the British group Everyone Hates Elon hung this Sunday in the Louvre Museum in Paris the image taken by a Reuters photographer of Andrés Mountbatten-Windsor, brother of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, at the end of his interrogation last Thursday.

Below the photo, which was displayed for a few minutes until it was removed by the museum staff, they pasted a sign that read “now sweat – 2026”, according to the image that this anti-millionaires association reproduced on its Instagram account.

Arrested for his relationship in Epstein’s network

A way to ridicule this member of the British royal family who was detained by the police for about eleven hours for interrogation before being released under investigation. His interrogation was linked to Andrew’s alleged leaks of sensitive British government documents to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein during the period 2001 and 2011, when the then prince was the UK’s special representative for trade.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, second son of the late Queen Elizabeth, has always denied any wrongdoing in his relationship with Epstein and said he regretted their friendship, but has never responded to requests for comment since the documents were last published.

The arrest came weeks after the British royal family began the formal process to withdraw the titles of Andrés, who was also expelled from the mansion where he lived in Windsor, west of London, in an action that was defended as “necessary” despite the fact that he continued to deny the accusations against him.

Andrew himself announced in October 2025 that he was renouncing his titles, including that of Duke of York, considering that “the continuous accusations” against him “distracted” from the work of the king and the royal family. Already in 2019 he announced that he was abandoning his public activities due to the scandal.

For his part, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom defended that Andrés Mountbatten-Windsor appear before the United States Congress for his alleged relationship with Epstein, following the publication of more than three million documents related to the case by the authorities of the North American country, within the framework of the Transparency Law approved ‘ad hoc’ in November 2025.
