According to Victony, being on the same level as Rema and Asake is not a priority

Singer Anthony Victor, also known as Victony in the Afrobeats genre, has made it clear that he is not in a rush to achieve the level of stardom that his colleagues Rema and Asake have attained.

His comments came in response to social media chatter suggesting that his debut album ‘Stubborn’ did not enjoy commercial success because it lacked negative attention from haters to drive social media trends.

Victony dismissed this notion as “foolish,” emphasizing that those promoting such ideas had unrealistic expectations for the album given his current standing in the music industry.

Sharing his thoughts on his X handle, Victony expressed: “Laugh my ass off, the idea that Victony needs more haters has to be the most absurd thing I’ve seen. What’s the rush? Everyone wants to reach the level of Rema and Asake in just two hours?”
