ACC Declares: South-East to Take the 2027 Presidency

The Allied Conservative Congress (ACC) has advocated for a President of Nigeria from the South-East in 2027, emphasizing that it would uphold the unity of Nigeria.

During the inauguration of the Abia State executives of the party in Umuahia, the Chairman of the party, Olusegun Peters, highlighted that the Igbo community has not produced a President since the assassination of former Head of State, Gen. Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi on July 29, 1966.

Representing the ACC National Vice Chairman, Northwest, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Peters revealed that in the 25 years of democratic rule, no Igbo individual has held the highest office in the country, unlike the North and South West which have each held the position twice.

The party is committed to promoting fairness and is determined to support the equitable sharing of power among the three major ethnic groups (Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba).

Abdullahi praised the industrious nature of the Igbo people and expressed optimism that their creativity could alleviate the current economic challenges in the country.

During the inauguration of the new Abia executives, the National party Chairman emphasized the need for unity and collaboration among the State Working Committee (SWC), underscoring the party’s inclusivity regardless of religious, ethnic, or educational differences.

In separate statements, the National Vice Chairman, North-Central, Hon. Illya Juan, the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq, and the National Vice Chairman, South-East, Vincent Eberechukwu congratulated the newly appointed executives for their dedication and expressed confidence in their ability to lead the party to victory in the forthcoming elections.

Acting State Chairman of ACC, Onyekachi Uwalaka, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the new state executive and pledged to strategize for securing governorship and legislative positions in Abia in 2027.

Among the other party executives inaugurated were the State Vice Chairman, Dr. Jiwuba Peter, and the party Secretary, Dr. Innocent Ikoro, along with other key officers.
