Reports suggest that Italian Serie A side, AC Milan, is in discussions to secure the signing of Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, from Villarreal this summer at a potential cost of €30m.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Milan is taking steps towards a move for Chukwueze, whose contract at Villarreal will expire in the summer of 2024. On Tuesday afternoon, the winger’s agents visited the Milan headquarters and had a discussion with Geoffrey Moncada regarding the situation.
The meeting, the first of its kind, lasted for two hours and involved exchange of ideas about the potential transfer. Milan has gathered information about the financial aspects of the move and is yet to engage with Villarreal before making a decision on how to proceed.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the management of AC Milan holds a high regard for the winger, who delivered an impressive performance by scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists in 50 games for Villarreal in the last season across all competitions.
