Assuming office as the Group Managing Director of the Abuja Investments Company Limited is Dr. Maureen Tamuno.
Tamuno’s appointment was officially announced by the company, expressing delight in welcoming her to the position effective April 8.
This announcement closely followed the statement by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, with Tamuno’s appointment being retroactive to April 4.
A significant highlight of the statement was the recognition of Tamuno as the first female Group Managing Director in AICL’s three-decade history.
An alumna of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Tamuno holds a degree in Management Studies and furthered her academic pursuits with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management, an MBA in Marketing, and a Ph.D. in Marketing from Ebonyi State University.
Her educational journey extended to Harvard University, where she obtained certificates in Global Business Strategy and Sustainable Business Strategy.
Prior to her current role, she served as a legislator in the Rivers State House of Assembly and also as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Jamaica.
