About the Arrest of 50-Year-Old Man for the Killing of Paedophile Drag Queen, Darren Moore, 39

A man has been taken into custody on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the death of a paedophile drag queen who was discovered deceased in an alleyway while dressed in a full stage costume.

 

Darren Moore, 39, a jeweller and a convicted sex offender, went missing after his regular Sunday night performance at a gay nightclub in Cardiff. His body was found in the city center, still adorned in his vibrant yellow dress, blonde wig, full makeup, and trademark false breasts.

 

South Wales Police has announced the arrest of a 50-year-old local man on suspicion of manslaughter, and he is currently in custody as the investigation continues.

 

A post-mortem examination has been conducted on Darren, and further tests are underway to determine the cause of death.

 

Known as Crystal Couture, Moore had built a strong presence in the gay scene and had collaborated with TV’s RuPaul.

 

Amid social media allegations of Darren being beaten to death, the police have urged the public to refrain from speculation and to remain calm.

 

Superintendent Michelle Conquer, Head of Operations in Cardiff, stated, ‘We acknowledge the shock and distress in the local and wider community following the death of Darren Moore, who was a prominent drag artist in Cardiff.’

‘While the investigation is ongoing, our Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to maintain a visible police presence in the city center.’

 

As a teenager with the name Darren Sewell, he was convicted of four counts of rape of a boy under 16 and was sentenced to three years in a Young Offenders’ Institution.

 

Subsequently, despite being banned from contact with children, in 2011, he was found guilty of violating the order by working as a gymnastics and dance tutor for children in Cardiff.

 

He received a three-year sex offender’s treatment program, a 24-month supervision order, 300 hours of unpaid work, and a six-month curfew with an electronic tag.
