Jedd Fisch assumed the role of head coach for the University of Arizona Wildcats football team in December 2020, marking his first position as a collegiate head coach.

Jedd Fisch and his wife, Amber Fisch, have been married for nearly two decades. While Bob Stoops set numerous coaching records at Oklahoma, one of his most impactful decisions took place off the field. Bob Stoops significantly influenced countless lives during his remarkable coaching tenure at Oklahoma, and current Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch is one such individual. Bob Stoops played a pivotal role in introducing Jedd Fisch to his future wife, Amber Fisch, during an AFCA coaches convention in 2000.
At the time, Amber was in a relationship with AFCA Executive Director Grant Teaff, which eventually led to their marriage a few years later. Amber Fisch, formerly known as Amber Mosley, was born on February 8, 1976. She hails from Texas but has also resided in California. Jedd and Amber Fisch are proud parents of three daughters: Zaylee Arnet Fisch (born November 10, 1998), Ashlee (born May 16, 2009), and Kendall (born December 20, 2011).

In the Alamo Bowl on Thursday, the No. 14 Arizona Wildcats triumphed over the No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners with a 38-24 win. Despite trailing 24-13 in the second quarter, Arizona (10-3, 7-2) made a strong comeback, capitalizing on six turnovers. Their defensive prowess allowed them to score 28 points off turnovers, resulting in the Wildcats’ fourth 10-win season in school history. Despite allowing a season-high yardage and a stretch of 24 consecutive points in front of 55,853 fans at the Alamodome, Arizona’s defense came through in crucial moments.
This victory marks Arizona’s first bowl win since 2015 and their first 10-win season since 2014. Additionally, the win is their seventh in a row, tying a school record for the longest winning streak within a single season. It is also the sixth win against a ranked opponent, setting a new record in the school’s history.
