Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who chairs the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), has responded to Isa Pantami, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, after he denied her accusation of sending armed men to evict members of the Commission from an office provided by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
Dabiri-Erewa, in an interview with SaharaReporters, accused the Minister of dispatching gunmen to take over her office in February. The Minister swiftly rejected the allegation on his Twitter handle, calling it a complete lie.
She took to her Twitter handle to address Pantami, urging the Islamic scholar not to lie and highlighting that his disrespect for women is well-known.
“An Islamic scholar should not lie Hon Minister. (Phd) You did that to me because I am a woman. Your disrespect for women is legendary. Left the ugly incident behind me since Feb. But please release all our office equipment. Public office is transient. @DrIsaPantami.” she tweeted
Furthermore, she posted a video showing the morning when the office was allegedly taken over based on the Minister’s order.
