Abia Government Resolves Medical Expenses For Mother, Group Of Quadruplets


 

The wife of the governor of Abia State, Precilia Otti, has declared that the government will cover the medical costs of the mother and a group of quadruplets born in the state.

Otti announced this yesterday during her visit to them at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, the capital of the state, where they were born, informing that the government will also supply them with other necessary assistance.

Expressing gratitude to God for the secure delivery of the infants, the First Lady of the state ensured that the current administration in the state is dedicated to decreasing maternal death and newborn fatalities.

In his comments, the director of medical services at the center, Azubuike Onyebuchi, affirmed that the facility possesses the essential medical personnel and modern equipment to address the situation.

Similarly, the spouse of the woman, Chukwu Onwudiwe, expressed appreciation to God for safe childbirth, Otti for the visit and kindness, and appealed to individuals and the general public for assistance.

Last year, it can be recalled that a student in her fourth year at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, was delivered safely of a group of quintuplets at the facility.
