Abdul, son of MKO Abiola, believes Kola is not fit to lead Nigeria and didn’t uphold their father’s legacy

In the eyes of Abdul, one of the offspring of the late Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (MKO Abiola), his older sibling, Kola, lacks the capability to govern Nigeria.

Abdul criticized Kola for his perceived failure in managing their father’s business empire.

Similar to his father, Kola vied for the presidency under the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in 2023.

Expressing his disappointment, Abdul pointed out Kola’s shortcomings in upholding Abiola’s political heritage and fostering unity within the family.

During an interview on Seun Okinbaloye’s Podcast, Mic On, Abdul stated: “MKO Abiola’s principles could have been effectively preserved if Kola had assumed a more suitable role advocating for democratic principles, but regrettably, he opted otherwise.

“While my father was imprisoned, he engaged in a romantic relationship with Babangida’s daughter. It’s disheartening, but somewhat comforting that my father did not witness the path his first son chose to tread.

“I am disappointed in him, a feeling shared by many Nigerians. The public response to his presidential campaign reflects this sentiment. I question his aspirations for the presidency when he could not handle Abiola’s business affairs. How then could he govern Nigeria?

“This issue is prevalent in Nigeria: individuals fail to demonstrate competence in their immediate responsibilities yet aspire to higher roles.”
