A request for conducting a DNA test on Mohbad’s late singer wife, Wunmi, was directed by a Magistrate Court in the Ikorodu area of Lagos using an alternative method for serving notice of the pending DNA application.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the legal team representing the Aloba family, this information was revealed.
Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, through the legal team, initiated an application seeking approval to serve Wunmi by delivering all the necessary documents for the court process to the respondent’s previous known location.
It was stated in the declaration made by the legal team that the attempts made by the sheriff to serve Wunmi with the court documents had been unsuccessful twice.
The argument presented by the legal team emphasized that if the court order allowed the service of the court process on the last known address of Wunmi, it would qualify as proper service, thereby making her aware of the ongoing legal action.
The Chief Magistrate instructed that Wunmi should be served by placing the court process at her most recent known address.
