Convicted for raping a 10-year-old girl, Ayuba Musa, a 23-year-old Senior Secondary School 2 student in Bebeji Local Government Area, has been given a 14-year jail sentence.
Ayuba Musa committed the crime on April 19, 2017, after enticing the minor to his apartment at Ruwan Kaya Quarters in Tiga Village.
Describing the incident, the victim disclosed that Ayuba took her to his room, turned on the television, asked her to touch him, and then assaulted her by removing her underpants and sexually penetrating her.
The victim revealed that the pain she experienced was so severe that she eventually confided in her mother at home.
Ayuba was convicted by a court sitting at Audu Bako Secretariat in the state capital. The court held that the prosecution successfully proved the case beyond reasonable doubt and demonstrated his guilt.
