A 23-year-old Man in Lagos Stabs Parents to Death, Leaves Sister Critically Injured, and Flees the Scene

The perpetrator, identified as 23-year-old Michael Ohkide, is currently on the run after fatally stabbing his parents and critically injuring his sister.

Michael, an aspiring singer and a drug addict, carried out the brutal attack on his family in their apartment on Afeez Gbadamosi Street, Ejigbo area of Lagos. His parents, Barr. Clement Okhide and his wife Toyin, succumbed to their wounds. His sister, Mary, was also severely wounded and is currently in critical condition.

Reports from residents suggest that Michael’s drug addiction may have been a contributing factor to his violent actions. They describe him as a troublesome individual who has been a source of distress to his parents, obstructing their efforts to guide him towards responsibility.

Witnesses claim that Michael is confrontational, refusing to heed advice from those attempting to influence him positively. On the day of the incident, he was seen hastily fleeing the scene in his boxers, an alarming sight that raised suspicions among the neighbors.
