They reveal another possible reason for Harry and Meghan's return to the United Kingdom: a job offer as an actress for Markle

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, could resume her career as an actress in the United Kingdom, after she abandoned acting to marry Prince Henry, youngest son of King Charles III, according to several British media.

After hearing the news of the transfer of her residence from the United States to the United Kingdom, the Australian media news.com.au pointed out that one of the reasons for her return would be that Meghan had been offered a job as a performer in an upcoming acting project. The BBC has indicated that sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not denied this information.

Last Wednesday, August 19, some media reported that Prince Harry had decided to return to his country with his wife and two children, Princes Archie and Lilibet, after the couple left their duties as members of the British royal family at the beginning of 2020.

On the other hand, apparently, the dukes have already enrolled their children in a school in the United Kingdom and plan to live in a residence located outside of London that is not linked to the royal family.

Meghan’s acting career

As an actress, Meghan Markle was best known for her role in the American legal series “Suits,” in which she played lawyer Rachel Zane for seven seasons. Her last appearance in the series occurred in 2018, the year in which she married Prince Henry.

After leaving acting, the Duchess returned to it with a cameo in which she played herself in the comedy “Close Personal Friends”, still pending release, starring Lily Collins and Brie Larson.

Other projects

According to the BBC, during his stay in the United Kingdom he also hopes to expand the international reach of As Ever, his American lifestyle and cooking brand.

Likewise, the media is wondering who will assume the high cost of the Sussexes’ security, after their protection was withdrawn when they decided to stop working for the monarchy in 2020. The tabloid Daily Express estimates the cost of security at 5 million pounds (5.8 million euros) per year if it were paid for by the British taxpayer.
