Five dead in recent Russian assaults on Ukraine

Reports from Ukrainian authorities on Monday morning confirmed that Russia launched heavy airstrikes on Ukraine for the second night in a row, using a variety of weapons.

Tragically, five individuals lost their lives in the attacks – two in Kryvyi Rih as a result of a rocket strike on a hotel, and three in Zaporizhzhya due to drone attacks.

The Ukrainian Air Force disclosed that the Russian military deployed long-range bombers and fired cruise missiles, including hypersonic missiles of the Kinzhal (Dagger) type.

Analysts noted that the attacks specifically targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

Monday’s assault by Russia involved 127 missiles, cruise missiles, and over 100 combat drones, marking the highest reported number during the two and a half years of conflict.
