Gary Neville Reveals: I Would Have Joined Arsenal if Given the Chance

The former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has openly admitted that if he had the opportunity to leave the Red Devils, he would have signed for Arsenal.

During an episode of The Overlap, Neville emphasized that he had never desired to depart from Old Trafford and continues to be immensely proud of being a loyal player for a single club.

With over 600 appearances for United, Neville clinched eight Premier League titles under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Having emerged from the club’s academy, the ex-English defender devoted two decades of his career to Manchester United.

Responding to Jamie Carragher’s query about considering another club, Neville revealed, “Arsenal was the team I held immense regard for. Stepping into Highbury and experiencing the grand entrance with the marble hall, I perceived it as a club deeply rooted in tradition.

“I admired the smart blazers they wore and noticed a similar ethos to what United embodied during that era, with a focus on tradition and formal wear.”
