Latest from EPL: Sterling Loses No.7 Shirt, Joao Felix Switches to No. 14

Raheem Sterling, the Chelsea winger, has been stripped of his No. 7 shirt, reports Sky Sports.

This season, the new signing Pedro Neto will wear the No. 7 shirt.

Chelsea is open to offers for Sterling following this decision.

After his transfer from Manchester City two years ago, Sterling initially had the No. 17 shirt before switching to No. 7 last season.

In his debut against Manchester City on Sunday, Neto wore the No. 19 shirt.

On the other hand, Joao Felix, the new signing, will now don the No. 14 shirt previously worn by Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah was informed in a direct discussion that he is not part of head coach Enzo Maresca’s plans for the upcoming season.

Felix, who had the No. 14 shirt during his loan spell at Barcelona last season, previously wore the No. 11 shirt during a loan at Chelsea 18 months ago.
