Reports from the Lagos State Police Command reveal the successful arrest of three individuals believed to be involved in a series of kidnappings that have plagued the residents of Ikorodu.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, disclosed this development to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Lagos.
According to Hundeyin, the suspects were apprehended after a foiled kidnapping attempt targeting a car dealer along Ebute-Igbogbo Road in Ikorodu on Tuesday.
Detailing the incident, Hundeyin mentioned, “The apprehended individuals, aged between 23 and 33 (names undisclosed), have been under police custody since the occurrence on Tuesday.”
He further added, “Efforts are currently underway to track down two additional suspects who managed to evade capture during the operation.”
An investigation has been launched into the matter to gather more information and evidence,” the police spokesperson noted.
