Former England goalkeeper labels Arsenal star a ‘spectator’ following victory over Wolves

David Raya, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, was described as a ‘spectator’ by former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson during Arsenal’s 2-0 triumph over Wolves in the Premier League.

Raya had little to do in the first half as the Gunners took a 1-0 lead into halftime, courtesy of a goal from Kai Havertz.

The highlight of Raya’s performance came when he made a crucial save to deny Jorgen Strand Larsen from equalizing.

Bukayo Saka later added a second goal in the second half to secure all three points for Mikel Arteta’s team against Wolves.

Speaking to the BBC, Robinson commented, “Arsenal controlled the game in the first half and continued to dominate for most of the match.”

“David Raya was essentially a spectator in the first half, which makes his save [from Strand-Larsen] even more impressive,” Robinson added.
