Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Ejimakor, deems IgboMustGo movement as fanning terrorism and genocide

Ejimakor, the legal representative of Nnamdi Kanu, who leads the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), expressed on Saturday that the advocacy for IgboMustGo constitutes a direct endorsement of terrorism and genocide.

In contrast, Ejimakor emphasized that the pursuit of self-determination does not fall under the same category.

Through X platform, Ejimakor urged the Nigerian government to halt what he described as the unjust trial of Kanu.

He also demanded the immediate release of Kanu and all individuals held as prisoners of conscience.

Ejimakor stated, “It is a fact: #IgboMustGo embodies a blatant call for terrorism and genocide. On the other hand, #SelfDetermination does not. Stop the #UnfairTrial and #FreeMNK along with all prisoners of conscience. This is not only the morally upright action but also long overdue. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”

An individual on X had previously announced intentions to compel Igbos to leave Lagos State under the slogan IgboMustGo.

This individual proposed a protest from August 20 to 30 to enforce this stance.

However, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State criticized the planned protest and appealed for unity instead.
