Enzo Maresca Denies Pressure from Chelsea to Achieve Top Four Finish

Denying any ultimatum from Chelsea, Enzo Maresca, the current manager, clarified that the club did not pressurize him to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.

Maresca, who was appointed after Mauricio Pochettino’s departure to Leicester City, emphasized that he envisions a long-term “five-year” project with the Blues.

Addressing the upcoming clash against Manchester City, Maresca highlighted that the club’s priority was gradual progress and competitiveness rather than immediate success.

He stated, “No club official urged me to aim for Champions League qualification this season. What mattered to them was our steady growth and readiness to compete at the highest level.”

“Personally, my ambition lies in challenging and matching the current powerhouses of English football,” Maresca expressed confidently.
