Renowned Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has expressed his belief that Kobbie Mainoo of Manchester United is destined to become a “superstar” in the world of football.
During a segment on Sky Sports, Carragher openly shared his admiration for the young English midfielder’s playing style.
Mainoo made a significant impact last season under the guidance of manager Erik ten Hag.
This talented 19-year-old was also selected to represent England at Euro 2024, although the Three Lions were defeated in the final by Spain.
Carragher remarked, “I am thoroughly impressed by Mainoo’s performance. Watching him play and witnessing his achievements over the summer has been a treat.
“While there were previous concerns about United’s midfield setup, Mainoo has emerged as a vital player. The conversation has shifted from finding a partner for Casemiro to finding one for Mainoo. I am certain he is on the path to becoming a true superstar.”
