Nigerian Footballer Malomo Joins Albanian Club Ebgo

The captain of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Taofeek Malomo, has made a move to Albanian club FK Bylis on a free transfer, securing a two-year contract with the Abissnet Superiore team, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra.

Following the expiration of his contract with 3SC after the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season, the midfielder will be playing under the guidance of Ndubuisi Egbo, the former Nigerian goalkeeper who also recently joined the club.

Malomo will be accompanied in the Albanian top division by Daniel Wotlai, who has recently signed with FK Engatia from Abia Warriors.

Bylis earned promotion to the Superliga after finishing as runners-up in the Kategoria e Par, the country’s second tier, in the 2023/24 season. They are set to kick off their season with an away match against Teuta Durrës on August 18 at 19:00, hosted at Stadiumi Niko Dovana, where Taofeek is likely to be seen in the stands. He is expected to play in their second home game of the season against FC Dinamo City at Adush Muça Stadium in Ballsh on August 24.

Having represented Nigeria at the U23 level, the talented midfielder aims to achieve great success with Egbo. Egbo made history as the first Nigerian coach to lead a European team to a league title by guiding FK Tirana to the Albanian league title in 2019/2020, securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
