Regarded as a versatile forward, Charles Sagoe Jr has bid farewell to Arsenal, securing a loan deal with League One outfit Shrewsbury Town for the duration of the 2024–2025 season.
Arsenal made the announcement via an official statement on their website ahead of their Premier League curtain-raiser against Wolves this Saturday.
The club’s statement included, “Charles Sagoe Jr, subsequent to inking a new contract with us, has embarked on a loan spell with League One faction Shrewsbury Town for the 2024–25 season.”
Wishing him success during his tenure with Shrewsbury Town, Arsenal expressed anticipation for Sagoe’s ongoing progress.
Initially joining Arsenal’s youth setup from Fulham in July 2015, Sagoe, at the age of 20, penned his maiden professional deal with the North London giants in July 2022.
His inaugural appearance for the senior team occurred during Arsenal’s 1-0 triumph over Brentford in the Carabao Cup back in September 2023.
