Dismissing the 2027 Presidential Campaign Poster: Peter Obi’s Media Team Reacts

On Friday, the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) refuted the existence of a 2027 presidential campaign poster featuring the former Labour Party’s candidate.

The POMR labeled the purported presidential poster, which depicted Obi and former Senate President Bukola Saraki, as a mere figment of imagination.

In an interview with NewsNow, POMR’s spokesperson, Yunusa Tanko, stated that they are focused on serving the people with no indication of such a campaign.

The campaign poster, showing Saraki as the presidential candidate and Obi as his running mate, bore the slogan, “Let’s restore our country back, come 2027.”

While Saraki is a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Obi remains affiliated with the Labour Party (LP).

Obi had switched from the PDP to the LP during the lead-up to the 2023 presidential election.

As of now, neither Saraki nor Obi has officially announced any plans to run in the 2027 presidential race.

It should be noted that the authenticity of the campaign poster is unverified at the time of this report.
