Looking ahead to the forthcoming clash between Remo Stars and AS FAR, head coach Daniel Ogunmodede expresses confidence in his team’s abilities for the upcoming CAF Champions League.
Having qualified for Africa’s premier club tournament for the second consecutive season, the Sky Blue Stars are gearing up for a challenging campaign.
This time, the Ikenne club will square off against Morocco’s AS FAR in the preliminary round, with the first leg set to take place on Sunday.
Recalling their previous encounter with the same opponent in last season’s preliminary round, where Remo Stars were knocked out after a 1-1 draw away and a 1-0 loss at home, Ogunmodede remains hopeful of a better outcome this time.
Reflecting on their past experiences, Ogunmodede stated, “We learn from our experiences, and I believe we will do better this time around.”
With the team’s increased exposure from their previous continental campaigns, Ogunmodede is confident in their improved readiness this season.
