Confirmation has been given by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency regarding the apprehension of the suspect who is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in Alakuko, Lagos.
A statement was released on X.com on Friday, indicating that the agency is collaborating with the Lagos State Police Command to conduct a thorough investigation into the case.
It was further mentioned by the agency that the survivor is currently undergoing extensive medical care, while the suspect has been placed in police custody.
The statement expressed gratitude, stating, “We thank everyone who brought to our attention the distressing incident of child sexual abuse in Alakuko, Lagos.
“We are actively working alongside #LagosPoliceNG to probe the matter.
“The survivor is receiving comprehensive medical assistance, and the suspect is presently in police detention. Further updates will be provided”
It was previously reported by PUNCH Online on Monday that a 14-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by her landlord’s son in the Alakuko region of Lagos.
