Confirmation has been received from the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency regarding the arrest of the suspect involved in the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Alakuko, Lagos.
As per a statement published on X.com on Friday, the agency has engaged in a collaborative effort with the Lagos State Police Command to delve into the details of the case.
Ensuring the survivor is provided with comprehensive medical care, the suspect is presently under police custody.
The statement reads, “We are grateful to those who brought the distressing incident of child sexual abuse in Alakuko, Lagos to our attention.
“Our cooperation with #LagosPoliceNG in the investigation is ongoing.
“The survivor is under thorough medical care, and the suspect is under police custody. Further information will be provided in due course”
Earlier reports by PUNCH Online on Monday informed that a 14-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted by her landlord’s son in the Alakuko area of Lagos.
