The Nigerian Army’s Stand Against Examination Malpractices Among Officers

Emphasizing the need for integrity, Major General Kevin Aligbe, the Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), has insisted on a policy of zero tolerance towards examination malpractices during the 2024 Senior Staff Course Qualifying Examination (SSCQE) being held at the Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre in Jaji Military Cantonment, Kaduna State.

In his address to the candidates of the SSCQE, Maj Gen Aligbe, acting as the examination president, cautioned against engaging in any form of exam misconduct. He stressed that any violations would result in severe penalties that could hinder their career advancement within the armed forces.

Encouraging the candidates to seize the opportunity before them, he highlighted the significance of the examination as a key requirement for attending the Senior Staff Course either at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji or at affiliated staff colleges abroad.

Aligbe articulated, “This examination is not solely about completing a test but also a means to assess their current skill level essential for assuming higher responsibilities.”

He reminded the candidates of the critical nature of their task and the impact their behavior during the examination could have on their professional trajectory, underscoring that the exam aligns with the command’s ethos.
