Arsenal and Chelsea Urged by Merson to Splurge on Acquiring Striker

In a recent development, Paul Merson, the manager of Arsenal, has recommended that both the Gunners and Chelsea should spare no expenses in securing the services of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.

Speculations regarding Isak’s potential departure from St James’ Park were rife earlier in the year.

Despite this, Newcastle has emphatically expressed their desire to retain the 24-year-old footballer.

“Newcastle has successfully retained Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes, for now,” Merson shared his insights with Sky Sports.

“For clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal, my advice would be to go all out for Isak. If Chelsea manages to sign Isak, their chances of securing a top-four finish would significantly increase,” he added.

He further emphasized, “If Arsenal were to acquire his services, they could potentially clinch the league title.”
