FRSC Sector Commander in Osun State, Mr. Taofeeq Sokunbi Assumes Office

In Osun State, Mr. Taofeeq Sokunbi has assumed office as the new Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

This information was confirmed by the command’s spokesperson, Mrs. Agnes Ogungbemi, in a statement released in Osogbo on Thursday.

Following his appointment, Sokunbi has taken over from Mr. Inyang Umoh, who has been redeployed to Rivers State, according to a report by Daily Post.

Having joined the FRSC in 1996, Sokunbi is a seasoned administrator who has held various roles across the country, including positions in Ogoja and Jigawa Commands.

She encouraged FRSC personnel in the state to lend their support to the new sector commander in achieving the set objectives.

According to the statement, “He previously served as the Staff Zonal Data Centre at Lokoja and Ilorin before being reposted to the ABA Information Processing Centre (IPC).

“Sokunbi was born on July 22, 1970, in Ebute Metta, Lagos State, to High Chief Kolawole and Madam Funmilayo Sokunbi. He is a native of Abeokuta South Local Government area of Ogun State.

“His educational background includes attending Shiloh Primary School and later Vetland Grammar School in Agege, Lagos State.”

However, Ogungbemi disclosed that the new Sector Commander obtained his first Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Joseph Ayo-Babalola University in lkeji Arakeji, Osun State.
