Remo contract extension brings joy to Ogunmodede

The coach of Remo Stars, Daniel Ogunmodede, expressed his delight at the extension of his contract with the two-time Nigeria Premier Football League runners-up, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra.

Upon the announcement that he would continue leading the team until 2027, Ogunmodede shared his excitement following the signing of a three-year contract extension ahead of the 2024/25 CAF Champions League and Nigeria Premier Football League seasons.

The club, Remo Stars, made the announcement of Ogunmodede’s contract extension until 2027 on Tuesday, expressing their satisfaction with the deal.

Five days before their CAF Champions League preliminary match against AS FAR Rabat from Morocco, Ogunmodede’s contract extension was finalized. The coach sees the club’s trust in him as a source of additional motivation for the upcoming season.

In his statement to the club media, Ogunmodede expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, emphasizing his dedication and hard work which have led to this contract extension. He considers the club’s recognition of his efforts as a significant boost.

Ogunmodede started his journey with Remo Stars in 2016 as an assistant head coach, eventually taking on the role of head coach in 2022. He successfully guided the team to the top flight from the second division in 2021.

Having finished as runners-up in both the 2023 NPFL season and the previous campaign, Ogunmodede is determined to push for success with the team. Besides the continental challenge in the CAF Champions League, Remo Stars will also kick off their NPFL season against Abia Warriors after facing AS FAR in the preliminary round.
