Reports suggest that Daniel Bameyi, former captain of the Flying Eagles, is on the verge of completing a transfer to Bayelsa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
It is rumored that Bameyi has reached an agreement on personal terms with the Prosperity Boys.
Coming from non-league side Yum Yum FC, Bameyi is set to make the switch to Bayelsa United.
The recent appointment of Ladan Bosso as the head coach of Bayelsa United is believed to have played a key role in facilitating the transfer.
Under Bosso’s guidance, Bameyi led the Flying Eagles as their captain.
Although several top clubs in the NPFL were interested, it seems Bameyi has opted to join Bayelsa United.
