Addressing Insecurity: Nigerian Army Launches Toll-Free Hotline for Kaduna, Niger, Kano, and Jigawa Residents

Efforts to combat criminal activities in the country have led 1 Division of the Nigerian Army to unveil a toll-free hotline, 08000020204.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for 1 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, made this announcement.

According to him: “The 1 Division Nigerian Army Area of Responsibility, which includes Kaduna, Niger, Kano, and Jigawa states, faces significant security challenges. Therefore, the Division has introduced a toll-free hotline, 08000020204, for reporting security-related issues.

“This initiative aims to empower the public to report emergencies and file complaints promptly with the Division for swift action. It also encourages citizens to provide timely information regarding the activities of terrorists, insurgents, violent extremists, bandits, and their associates, along with other security matters of concern. This cooperation will aid the Division and other security agencies in safeguarding lives and properties within the Division’s Area of Responsibility.”

Lt Col Yahaya elaborated: “Call the toll-free number and carefully follow the interactive voice instructions to report emergencies or lodge complaints. Please note that all calls and messages received through this hotline are toll-free and will be handled with utmost confidentiality, ensuring the protection of your identity.”
