Council of State Shows Support for Tinubu in Recent Vote

In a significant development, President Bola Tinubu has received a vote of confidence from the Council of State, comprised of former Presidents, past Heads of State, and former Chief Justices of the Federation.

This vote of confidence came during Tuesday’s Council of State meeting, the first to be presided over by Tinubu since assuming office.

During the meeting, council members expressed their disapproval of the recent #EndBadGovernance protests. Dele Alake, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, raised concerns about the protests, suggesting that the sponsors had ulterior motives aimed at influencing a change in government.

Alake shared these views while speaking to State House Correspondents following the meeting.

Former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari were in attendance, while Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar participated virtually. However, former President Olusegun Obasanjo was notably absent, both physically and online.
