Senior Staff Qualifying Course Begins for 273 Army Officers

At the Jaji Military Cantonment in Kaduna State, a total of 273 Army Officers commenced the Senior Staff Course Qualifying Examination SSCQE on Sunday. This examination is being overseen by the Nigerian Army’s Training and Doctrine Command, TRADOC.

Maj.-Gen. Kelvin Aligbe, the President of the Examination Board, highlighted the significance of this examination as a vital requirement for officers planning to attend the Senior Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, AFCSC, Jaji, as well as other Staff Colleges internationally.

Speaking to the candidates, Aligbe acknowledged that while many were attempting the examination for the first time, others were on their second or third try. He emphasized the importance of integrity, encouraging candidates to approach the exam with honesty and dedication.

Aligbe expressed confidence in the abilities of the candidates, noting the efforts of the examination panel in preparing fair and suitable requirements for the examination. He stressed the role of performance in the examination as a key determinant of career progression within the Nigerian Army.

He reassured the candidates of the commitment to integrity and fairness from the examination panel and Directing Staff, urging them to demonstrate seriousness and determination to achieve optimal results.
