Paris 2024: Lagos Makes a Mark on the Global Stage

The Lagos State Sports Commission hosted the Lagos Paris Olympics 2024 Esports and Sports Economy Roundtable at the Africa Station Doom, L’lle-Saint-Denis in Paris, France, showcasing vision, leadership, and innovation.

At the event themed ‘Exploring New Frontiers and Business Opportunities in Sports’, Director General Lekan Fatodu highlighted Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to sports development and global collaboration, seizing the Paris Olympics spotlight.

The roundtable event focused on sports development, particularly esports, a sector gaining global attention, and brought together diverse stakeholders, including government officials, investors, and international sports organizations.

Panellists, such as Désiré Koussawo, Lekan Ajisafe, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya, Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lanre Alfred, Damilare Orimoloye, Deji Omotoyinbo, Tella Abiodun, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, and Frank Orbih, shared insights on advancing e-sports business and creating opportunities for sustainable sport economy.
