A 50% discount on vehicle conversion using the new MY-CNG App is now available from the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), revealed Mr. Khalil Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer.
During the launch of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative’s Conversion Incentive Programme for the rideshare sector, Halilu, as stated by NASENI’s Director of Information, Olusegun Ayeoyenikan, emphasized the importance of Pi-CNG in Nigeria’s gas revolution at NASENI’s CNG Engineering, Training, and Conversion facility in Utako, Abuja, with the presence of Ekperipe Ekpo, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), and other dignitaries.
This initiative, targeting rideshare drivers from platforms like Uber and Bolt, offers a 50% discount for those who sign up and utilize the MY-CNG App. Halilu pointed out that CNG is a more economical and cleaner vehicle fuel, with the potential to slash transportation costs by up to 70%, providing car owners with a 40% saving.
Addressing the economic challenges faced, Halilu underscored the initiative’s role in reducing living costs for Nigerians. He also praised Pi-CNG, Portland, and Dana Motors for their commitment to the collaboration, which culminated in the establishment of this comprehensive CNG facility.
