Alhassan Doguwa Seeks to Lead APC Campaign in 2027 Kano Elections

In a declaration, Alhassan Doguwa, a federal lawmaker representing Kano State, expressed his determination to secure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections. He insisted on being appointed as the director-general of the party’s 2027 campaigns in the state to ensure success.

Speaking in Abuja to counter a claim made by fellow lawmaker Abdulmumini Jibrin, Doguwa addressed allegations that he posed a threat to the APC’s electoral prospects in the state. Jibrin had characterized Doguwa as a political liability to the party.

Doguwa respectfully appealed to the party’s leadership for the opportunity to lead and coordinate the Kano State Campaign Project in 2027, asserting his belief that he is an asset and source of pride for the APC both within the state and at the national level.

The News Agency of Nigeria highlighted Doguwa’s position as the sole APC member in the House of Representatives from Kano South Senatorial District, representing Tudun-Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency and serving as the Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream).

He has been engaged in a verbal feud with Jibrin, another Kano State lawmaker representing the Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency under the New Nigerian People’s Party, with Jibrin previously accusing Doguwa of impeding peace in Kano State.
