Alhassan Doguwa Requests to be APC’s Director-General for 2027 Kano Campaign

In a statement, Alhassan Doguwa, a federal lawmaker representing Kano State, expressed his commitment to securing victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 general elections in the state.

Doguwa emphasized his eagerness to lead the APC’s campaign efforts for 2027 in Kano, believing that he can ensure success for the party.

These statements were made by Doguwa in Abuja, in response to allegations made by another lawmaker, Abdulmumini Jibrin, who suggested that Doguwa posed a threat to the APC’s electoral prospects in Kano.

Jibrin also labeled Doguwa as a political liability for the party in the state.

Seeking the party’s approval, Doguwa formally requested to be appointed as the Director-General of the Kano State Campaign Project for 2027.

Denying the accusations of being a liability, Doguwa asserted that he is a valuable asset and a point of pride for the APC at both the state and national levels.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Doguwa is the sole House of Representatives member elected under the APC in Kano South Senatorial District.

He represents Tudun-Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency and serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream).

Engaged in a verbal feud with Jibrin, another Kano State lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency under the New Nigerian People’s Party, Doguwa has faced accusations of disrupting peace in the state.
