Fulham’s winger, Alex Iwobi, is looking to kick off the new season of the Premier League on a high note.
In their inaugural match of the 2024–25 season, The Whites are poised to take on Manchester United.
In a game back in February, Iwobi netted a game-winning goal securing Fulham’s 2-1 triumph over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Prior to the impending showdown on Friday, the Nigerian international expressed eagerness for the upcoming challenge.
Reflecting on his past performance, Iwobi stated, “I am focusing on being more prolific. Perhaps we can replicate our success from before and even surpass it. However, the past is behind us now, and our focus is on the present, aiming to repeat that feat,” as disclosed on Fulham’s official website.
“Undoubtedly, it presents a significant test. Manchester United ranks among the top teams in the Premier League. It’s a formidable challenge for us. We managed to achieve victory against them last season. Hopefully, we can recreate that triumph this season and set a strong start,”he added.
Iwobi contributed two assists during Fulham’s pre-season friendly match against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
