Israel warns Lebanon as tensions rise

Israel’s Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, delivered a strong message to Lebanon, cautioning that if Hezbollah continued its aggressive actions, Israel would retaliate with full force.

Gallant emphasized that Israel is committed to promoting peace, prosperity, and stability along the northern border.

He firmly stated, “We will not tolerate any attempts by Hezbollah to disrupt the border and the region.”

Gallant reiterated, “If Hezbollah persists in its aggression, Israel will respond decisively.”

He issued a clear warning, stating, “Those who provoke conflict should be prepared for the consequences.”

The recent incident involving the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah’s top military commander Fuad Shukr in Tehran has heightened tensions.

The threat of a large-scale conflict in the Middle East looms as Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas have threatened retaliation against Israel.

Hezbollah has engaged in frequent clashes with Israel in support of Hamas since the Gaza war was sparked by an attack on Israel by the Palestinian group on Oct. 7.

These clashes have resulted in numerous civilian casualties on both sides in Lebanon and Israel.

Over 350 Hezbollah members and Israeli soldiers have lost their lives, prompting tens of thousands of residents in the region to flee their homes.
