Kaduna Governor and Sani: External Factors Behind Orchestrated Protests

Attributing the nationwide protests against government incompetence and hardship to outside influences, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani pointed out the involvement of young children who took part and displayed foreign flags.

During his assessment of the security situation in the state, Sani expressed concern for the innocent residents affected, including those unable to work or shop due to the curfew.

He stated that the protests were a calculated effort to sow chaos, manipulating the psychology of children and the cultural connection to neighboring nations like Niger Republic.

The governor dismissed the idea that the protests were driven by governance failures or hunger, instead suggesting that genuine protesters were taken over by sponsored individuals who exploited uneducated and underage participants.

He commended the security forces for their professional handling of the situation, allowing young children to climb onto police vehicles without using force.

Sani remarked, “An investigation is currently underway. The unfortunate consequence of these events is that numerous innocent people are now stuck at home, unable to earn a living.”

“When you witness children aged between nine and 14 holding up another country’s flag, it becomes evident that this was meticulously planned and sponsored by certain groups pushing for chaos within the country,” he added.

He further elaborated, “They capitalized on the impressionable nature of these children, exploiting the close ties Northern Nigeria shares with neighboring countries like Niger Republic, leading them to believe that similar incidents in those nations could transpire in Nigeria.”

“Therefore, in my view, the protests are not related to governance failures or hunger,” he concluded.
