William Gallas, who previously served as the captain for Arsenal, has shared his forecast for the 2024/25 Premier League title, backing the Gunners for success.
While expressing his optimism for Arsenal, the Frenchman acknowledged the team’s necessity for a top striker capable of netting 20 goals in the Premier League.
Under the management of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal has been the runners-up to Manchester City in the recent two seasons.
With the new Premier League season set to commence next Friday, Arsenal has further reinforced their squad during the summer transfer window.
Gallas stated during an interview with Genting Casino, “I’m standing by my belief that Arsenal will clinch the title, but they still lack a world-class striker who can secure 20 goals in the Premier League.”
He emphasized, “Their shortfall lies in not securing a striker of that caliber yet, despite their close brush with the championship in the previous season.”
Comparing Arsenal with Manchester City, Gallas remarked, “Even without a 20-goal striker, Arsenal came close to the title, while Manchester City emerged victorious due to having Erling Haaland. A standout player of such caliber is essential.”
