Adamu Garba: Politicians Allegedly Exploiting Protests to Manipulate Tinubu

In regards to the ongoing protests, former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Adamu Garba, has claimed that certain politicians are using the EndBadGovernance protests as a tactic to pressure President Bola Tinubu.

Garba suggested that these politicians are attempting to showcase their influence over peace and turmoil in Nigeria through the protests.

He cautioned against allowing any political figures to exploit the protests for their personal gains from the president.

Expressing his views on the matter, Adamu stated: “It is imperative that nobody, absolutely nobody, should resort to blackmailing the President. Political opportunists must not leverage the orchestrated unrest to carry favor with the President.

“Those behind the protests must be held accountable instead of being rewarded.

“The President serves as the head of the armed forces and acts as the sole representative of the Nigerian Sovereign Authority.

“Attempting to blackmail the President essentially means coercing the entire nation into yielding to the demands of a select few dissatisfied individuals. This is unacceptable.

“While there are legitimate peaceful protestors exercising their constitutional rights, being protected by the authorities, there exist misguided politicians who believe that by fueling the riots, they can demonstrate to the President their control over peace and chaos in Nigeria. This is a fallacy.

“The only entity entrusted with maintaining peace and stability, having control over state security forces such as the army, police, DSS, etc., is the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Tinubu. This authority must be safeguarded and upheld.”
