Toyosi of BBNaija Season 9 hints at possible separation from Damilola [VIDEO]

In a surprising turn of events, Toyosi, one of the contestants on Big Brother Naija’s ‘No Loose Guard’ edition, has dropped hints about a potential separation from Damilola following their eviction from the show last Sunday.

Team Tami, which comprised Toyosi and Damilola, was the first pair to be evicted from the show after spending merely a week in the Big Brother house, despite their seven-year-long friendship prior to joining the show.

During a post-eviction interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the show’s host, Toyosi alluded to her decision to distance herself from Damilola.

When asked by Ebuka if they planned to continue living together, Damilola promptly responded with a “Yes.” However, Toyosi’s response took a different direction, expressing her feelings of tension and the need for space.

According to Toyosi, “I love you so much but I feel like there has been a lot of tension. She has been blaming herself too much and I want her to think without me being there.” This seemed to catch Damilola off-guard, who responded with, “Would that be why?”

Toyosi continued, “Yes, you are blaming yourself too much. When you see me, you keep blaming yourself, and I, on the other hand, would like to think too. I don’t think I would be able to be in the same space with someone who is blaming herself; it makes me very sad.”

When asked for her thoughts on Toyosi’s decision, a stunned Damilola struggled to find the words. Ebuka, sensing the tension between the two, encouraged them to engage in open dialogue and express their feelings.

He suggested, “Final note, what’s next? Maybe you guys have not had this conversation yet, there’s a lot of emotions bottled up. You haven’t expressed how you feel so hearing that now, I think what needs to happen is both of you sitting down.”

Emotions ran high as Toyosi started shedding tears, and Damilola couldn’t hold back her tears either. Ebuka concluded by emphasizing the importance of communication in their seven-year friendship and urged them to have a heart-to-heart conversation.
